Hand harvesting and processing allows Village Grown Organic to grow "heirloom" vegetable varieties that have better flavors, are more tender and are more nutritious than varieties scientifically engineered to stand up to the rigors of machine harvesting.

· Hand harvesting and processing prevent many defects such as bruising and scarring normally associated with machines.
